Banff

I love the mountains.  what a great way to spend our Saturday.  We weren't sure what the weather would be, but it was better in Banff than Calgary.

The girls could have thrown rocks in forever.

Best view ever! Seriously such a beautiful sight to look out and see mountains so big and gorgeous.
These 2 silly girls found each other on the path and posed and then ran the rest of the way together.

Stopped in the town for ice cream and beaver tails. Yum!

Corn maze

Just wanted to document stuff we've been up to.  Sometimes its so nice to have a nice day and go have a nice time with our family.  We went out to Kayben Farms and had such a great time with the kids.  So fun to see how different each kid is.  Talia is so good at keeping up with the big girls, its a little annoying when it means I need to follow her when she climbs up the tower for the big slide.  Her little legs can move to get her where she wants to be.
She is a climber and she is more curious and interested in animals then anyone else.

These 2 girls get along so great.

This was just a week before Sadie turned 6. Its just weird how fast your kids grow up.

Sadie was definetly the leader in the corn maze and she found her way out at the real exit.

They could have done the slide for hours I swear they loved it, Ryan and I just kept switching off who would take Talia up.
The bouncy tramp was also a hit, but Talia could not manage this too well on her own.

Oh boy that was fun! It can be exhausting when I take all 3 girls with me, but we rarely go somewhere without getting a few looks or comments that it is obvious these 3 little blondies are mine.

sure signs my kids are growing up

Growing up and too fast.

Even my baby is feeding herself, which yes is a diasaster

Dress ups and fashion shows and pretend play are happening here.
Oh the painting... endless minutes of painting.  Hannah asks often, and I don't like to say no but sheesh it is a lot of mess to get out sometimes if she paints for 5 minutes.  She usually does make it worthwhile and she loves it when Sadie is beside her coaching her.
Only two beaters to go around but I have 3 kids
More drawing and colouring, if it doesn't happen at least once a day then somethings up.  Talia is still big enough to try to do this but little enough to colour her body or anything else more than paper.
 Again feeding ourselves...
Everyone is an active participant in dance parties. Spins is Hannahs specialty, Talia is a bopper to the beat, and Sadie always wants to show new moves and be judged
They are entertaining each other all the time, what my baby doesn't  need me?  Oh the big sisters are just more fun sometimes
No joke it was overnight Hannah was wearing this and then all of the sudden Talia was, too big too fast
Sadie squeezing into Talias jacket, thats ok a 5 year old shouldn't wear a 1 year olds jacket anyway
Sadie want to wrap a towel around her head like a mom.
Proof they are still little, I can pull them all around the zoo in the wagon and they love it.

I think I've always taken a bit of personal pride in the fact that my kids seemed to get along so well.  Sadie and Hannah were best of buddies even when Hannah was too little to do much of anything they were completely devoted and have pretty much gotten along great.  Talia came along it was still pretty golden. What could be better than to always have a friend to play with. I know there are many factors and yes my kids are still young.  But, I just had to laugh the other day when this happened apparently three is a crowd.  Talia is starting to stand her ground and Hannah does not approve at the moment, and Sadie trying to refferee the situation.  I have found myself 'training' Sadie to give in to Hannah at times, it wasn't always conscious but the phrase "Sadie your 5, shes 2 just let her have the pink plate" or whatever has happened many times.  Now Sadie is pretty good at giving in to the 2 year old, or just learning new ways to manipulate the younger one. But, now I guess I need to tell Hannah you're 2 shes 1 give her what she wants... Good times.  Right now I would say Sadie is the peacemaker, teaching everyone to share, take turns is sensitive to her own feelings and others.  Hannah is the middle child, feisty, fearless and will not go unnoticed.  Talia is probably just trying to find her place, pretty easy going, will be content to chill or pick up the unwanted toys often, but she might be ready to take a stand against Hannah.
Love watching these girls grow up together and sometimes it happens I just can't help but compare them to my 2 sisters we were all right in a row like these 3.

Ok and a few more pics just for fun.

Here we are

Pretty sure its not cool to blog anymore, but I just wanted to do a recap for mostly me and whoever else cares.  Life is busy, but not really.  We still have time to have fun at home, and enjoy the simple moments that happen.  I am just happy and content with life there are moments I would like to freeze and remember and there are still days where I cant wait to peek on our sleeping kids.

Ryan has been busy with work as always, but managed to go to Vegas where he combined some work and golf.  I love how he is always so ready to come home at the end, cause he misses us all.
It really did seem like he was gone too long, I did my best to fill our days up for the kids and I, but by the ends the house was too quiet at night.

THere was a good while where a meal wasn't complete with spilled milk or something.  Hannah is not fazed by it at all.  Everytime it happens she is so quick to say "I sorry Mom"  and if Hannah didn't spill something Sadie made up for it and she would spill.  Talia might as well spill something cause I need to  clean under and around her seat after every meal.  I'd actually love a power scrub of my floor daily.

The excitement my kids show when Ryan walks in the door almost makes me want to leave and go to work out of the house.  They literally drop everything and all run for the door screaming and squealing and yelling Daddy. he plays along and lets them climb all over him.
The kids have spent hours playing lego
I love that Sadie called this her talent.  thank goodness she has so much confidence these days, she thinks she is good at a lot of things singing, dancing, drawing certain things, being a sister.

So glad these girls made their own instrument for their own band, sadie really wants a tamborine.

Hannah is the happiest girl or miserable.  She skips around or she cries about.. oh nothing

As soon as I say baking these 2 run and grab an apron.
